A dreamy, tranquil chinoiserie space was conjured up by the client. Referencing De Gourney’s fabulous hand painted wallpaper but with a strong sense of boudoir and motifs personal to the client we set about creating this world on the walls. I say we, as this time I worked under the brilliant Studiotwenty7 – they created and printed and applied the wallpaper.
I was drafted in to help bring the scene to life, painting family pets, foxes and even a magnificent Dodo. This process meant we could work much quicker but leant the final job a hand painted feel. It was different to work in this way, as I’m used to prepping and painting the whole wall but the collaboration really worked. Whilst not quite in my style I hope it shows my versatility, both in application and artwork.
