Goodwood Revival

Oh glorious Goodwood!
Where to start? This live drawing job for BMW was an absolute joy from start to finish. For the uninitiated, Goodwood revival is a historic motor race, but one that is entirely staged in a period theme. Mainly concerning itself with fashion from the era 1940’s-60’s, my job was to celebrate and draw all those vintage outfits. With prizes for best dressed every day, everyone made a great effort, despite the melting hot September heatwave ladies had their hair set in Betty’s hair salons, dug out their nylons and three piece suits!

I got to sit and work in a faithfully designed car design studio in my 1940’s outfits for three days drawing lots of the festival go-ers. The drawings, as usual when at a live event, took 10 minutes per person and sitters came and posed for me to chat all things classic cars, and fashion! I was in heaven, sign me up for the next one;
