Etc venues provides versatile workspace available for hire. The location of this particular office was in Victoria. Its proximity to the Tate inspired me to ‘loan’ some of their famous paintings to liven up this office. I imagined a tour of some of the great hits of British Art and curated this new space. I added some gallery enthusiasts to liven up the scenes and lend some atmosphere. Because of the location of the main wall, and the fact the venue space is constantly busy the client opted for wallpaper which could be applied in a morning. I designed the entire thing at home and then had it blown up large scale and printed as wallpaper.
There was space in another corridor that saw less footfall to be able to paint a mural. This time some colour was needed for impact. The meeting rooms leading off the corridor were named after botanicals so I painted a colourful mural based on the notion of growth. It was great to be able to apply my ideas to a wide range of outputs for one venue.
