Year of the tiger! Grrrrr

In January I was commissioned to paint onto eleven lovely oilcloth Liberty handbags, the icon…? A gorgeous joyful, leaping tiger to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The oranges of the tiger looked very vibrant and cheered me up no end, each one had their own personality. I was sad to see them leave but hopefully they are being worn and are out there in the wilds!

A few illustrations I made for a project set by Fida in collaboration with Missoni.
Out of my comfort zone as I never studied fashion, and thought I’d give it a try, lots to learn, and it was fascinating seeing other designers and illustrators work. Thanks for Beatrix Menendez for her time spent reviewing and feeding back on the work.

I was inspired by the Italian mountains and the cable cars 🚠 connecting them. It was a nice day dream in an otherwise completely bonkers busy March! I’ll be able to post some of the work very soon……. 🐝

So after a two week hiatus full of kids and Easter shenanigans I’ve enjoyed a jam packed two days @marcjacobs in-store painting onto Marc Jacob’s Totes.

Customers were encouraged to have me paint their pets or their initials. In there for the next two Saturdays 1-6pm painting away.
